Evanescent Face Cream

A perfect symbol of the treasures of French cosmetic history, Dr. Cottan's evanescent cream offers a whole new approach to hydration, with an exceptional galenic formula and a very natural composition.

This slightly pearly cream will start by delicately foaming on your skin while massaging, and then suddenly disappear, vanishing (the phenomenon from which it gets its pretty name) and leaving you with a soft, silky finish that enhances your complexion.

After applying your beauty vinegar or serum, massage gently until absorbed. And if you feel like it, your skin is ready for a touch of makeup.

You probably know the cold cream, A rich cream with a fatty base, whose origins date back to the famous cerate of Galen, the father of pharmacology, in the 2nd century AD.

But few remember that in the 19th century, it went hand in hand with evanescent cream, also sometimes called snow cream or vanishing cream. This oil-in-water type formula had the unique feature of suddenly becoming fluid upon application, until it disappeared completely. Effective, invigorating, and cleansing
The first impression is unsettling. It really is vinegar, so it smells strong. It's hard to imagine putting that on your face. I'm used to fragrance-free micellar water.
